Flights from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is the busiest international market for Pakistani travellers. Umrah pilgrims, families visiting relatives and workers heading back to their jobs fill flights to Jeddah, Madinah, Riyadh and Dammam every day of the year. At Expert Aviation we book these sectors from every major Pakistani airport, and we compare nonstop and one-stop options so you see the real choice before you pay.
Your best route depends on three things: which city you leave from, what you are travelling for, and how much baggage you carry. A pilgrim from Sahiwal usually starts in Lahore or Multan and flies to Jeddah or Madinah. A worker from Peshawar may be heading for Riyadh or Dammam. A family from Karachi often has the widest choice of airlines and times. The sections below explain each sector in plain language.
Flights from Pakistan to Jeddah
Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED) is the main gateway for Makkah, so it is the first choice for most Umrah travellers. The drive from the airport to Masjid al-Haram usually takes around 75 to 90 minutes, and the Haramain train also links Jeddah with Makkah. Check your ticket for the terminal, as Saudi and foreign airlines may use different buildings.
Lahore to Jeddah
Lahore (LHE) has one of the strongest Jeddah schedules in Pakistan. A nonstop flight takes around 4 hours 45 minutes. Carriers flying the sector have included PIA, Saudia, airblue, AirSial and flynas, with one-stop options through Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha and Muscat when nonstop seats sell out. Lahore is the natural starting point for travellers from Sahiwal, Okara, Kasur and Sheikhupura.
Islamabad to Jeddah
From Islamabad International Airport (ISB), the nonstop flight to Jeddah is about 5 hours. PIA, Saudia, airblue, SereneAir and flynas are the airlines passengers from Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Jhelum and Azad Kashmir usually compare. Morning departures sell fast before Ramadan, so book early if your dates are fixed.
Karachi to Jeddah
Karachi (KHI) is the shortest Pakistani hop to Jeddah at roughly 4 hours. Because Jinnah International Airport has the most frequencies, it often has the widest spread of fares, and it suits travellers from Sindh and Balochistan.
Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Peshawar and Quetta to Jeddah
Multan (MUX), Faisalabad (LYP), Sialkot (SKT), Peshawar (PEW) and Quetta (UET) have fewer weekly Jeddah flights, but they save a long road trip. When a nonstop seat is not available we connect you through a Gulf hub, or suggest positioning to the nearest large airport. Ask for cheap Jeddah tickets from Multan or Faisalabad and we will show both options side by side.
Flights from Pakistan to Madinah
Flying into Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport (MED) in Madinah lets you begin Umrah with your days at Masjid an-Nabawi, then travel to Makkah by road or the Haramain high-speed train. Many families prefer this order because the first days are calmer.
Direct flights to Madinah run from Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi, taking roughly 4 to 5 hours, with PIA, Saudia, airblue and flynas among the carriers. A popular plan is the open-jaw ticket: fly into Madinah and return from Jeddah, which avoids travelling back across the country. We build these combinations as part of our Umrah packages from Pakistan or as a flight-only booking.
Karachi and Lahore to Madinah
Karachi to Madinah takes about 4 hours, and Lahore to Madinah around 4 hours 30 minutes. Seats on these flights disappear quickly in Rabi ul Awwal, Ramadan and the winter school holidays, so pilgrims who want to begin in Madinah should book as early as possible. When the Madinah flights are full, flying into Jeddah and taking the Haramain train to Madinah is a comfortable alternative.
Flights to Riyadh and Dammam
Riyadh (RUH) and Dammam (DMM) serve mostly workers, business travellers and families living in the Kingdom. From Karachi the nonstop time to Riyadh is around 3 hours 15 minutes, and from Lahore or Islamabad about 4 hours. Dammam is closer to Pakistan: roughly 2 hours 45 minutes from Karachi and 3 hours 30 minutes from Lahore.
If you travel on a work visa, remember your Protector stamp from the Bureau of Emigration before you fly. Our team checks your documents before issuing the ticket, so you do not get stopped at the airport.
Flights from Pakistan to Dubai
Dubai is the most-searched destination for Pakistani travellers after Saudi Arabia. People fly for work, family visits, shopping, tourism and onward connections to Europe, North America and the Far East. Most flights land at Dubai International (DXB), which has several terminals, so check yours on the ticket before you travel.
Lahore to Dubai
The Lahore to Dubai nonstop takes about 3 hours 15 minutes. Emirates, flydubai, PIA, airblue and AirSial are the main options, so fares can move quickly between carriers. It is worth comparing checked baggage because the cheapest ticket is not always the one with the best allowance.
Karachi to Dubai
At around 2 hours, Karachi to Dubai is the shortest major route from Pakistan. With Emirates, flydubai, PIA, airblue and others on the sector, there are flights almost every few hours, which makes last-minute travel easier.
Multan, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Peshawar and Quetta to Dubai
flydubai and Pakistani carriers link many secondary airports to the UAE. Multan to Dubai is roughly 2 hours 45 minutes, Sialkot to Dubai about 3 hours 20 minutes, Peshawar and Faisalabad around 3 hours, and Quetta close to 2 hours. For travellers from south Punjab, booking Multan to Dubai flights saves the drive to Lahore.
Islamabad to Dubai flights
Islamabad to Dubai is one of the most important routes for northern Pakistan. The nonstop takes about 3 hours, and Emirates, flydubai, PIA, airblue and SereneAir have all flown it. Travellers from Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Abbottabad and Mirpur use ISB rather than driving to Lahore or Peshawar.
Evening departures are popular with UAE residents returning after a weekend, so these seats fill first. Early morning flights often cost less and still arrive in time for the working day. If you are flying on a new UAE visit visa, keep a printed copy of the visa, your hotel booking and a return ticket in your hand baggage; airline staff in Islamabad ask for them at check-in. You can apply for the visa itself through our Dubai visa service.
Flights to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi
Sharjah (SHJ) is only about 30 minutes from central Dubai by road. It is the home base of Air Arabia, which flies from many Pakistani cities and is often the lowest-fare option to the UAE. Check the baggage rules carefully, because low-cost fares may not include checked bags.
Abu Dhabi (AUH) is served by Etihad Airways and Pakistani carriers from Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi and Peshawar. Etihad also connects Pakistan to Europe and North America through Abu Dhabi, which is useful if the UAE is only the first leg of a longer trip.
Flights to Doha, Muscat, Bahrain and Kuwait
The wider Gulf is home to a large Pakistani community, and these routes are short. Qatar Airways links Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Multan, Sialkot and Peshawar with Doha (DOH) in roughly 2 hours 30 minutes to 4 hours. Oman Air and SalamAir fly to Muscat (MCT), where Karachi to Muscat takes under 2 hours. Gulf Air serves Bahrain (BAH), and Kuwait (KWI) is linked by Kuwait-based and Pakistani carriers.
These hubs are also useful as connection points for Jeddah and Madinah when nonstop seats from your city are full. A one-stop via Doha or Muscat can sometimes save money, provided the layover is comfortable and your bags are checked through.

How to find cheaper flights from Pakistan
Fares on Gulf and Saudi routes change every day. A few habits make a real difference to what you pay:
- Book four to eight weeks ahead for regular travel, and earlier for Ramadan, Eid, school holidays and December.
- Stay flexible by a day or two. Midweek departures are often cheaper than Friday or Sunday flights.
- Compare nearby airports. From Sahiwal, both Lahore and Multan are within reach, and one is often cheaper on a given date.
- Compare the total, not the headline fare. Add baggage, seat selection and meals before choosing a low-cost airline.
- Ask about group fares. Families of nine or more, or Umrah groups, can sometimes lock a group price.
Our agents check several airlines at once and tell you which ticket is cheapest after extras. Send your dates on WhatsApp at 0300 9693936 and we reply with real fares from Expert Aviation, not estimates.
Busy seasons for Saudi and Gulf flights
Knowing the busy seasons helps you plan and budget. Fares from Pakistan to Jeddah and Madinah usually rise in the last ten days of Ramadan, around Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha, and during the Hajj period when many regular seats are replaced by Hajj operations. Gulf routes such as Dubai, Doha and Muscat get busy around Eid, in the summer holidays and in December.
The quieter months after Hajj and the weeks after the summer holidays often have better availability. If your dates are flexible, tell us the month rather than a single day and we will look for the cheapest week.
Baggage allowance and Zamzam water
Full-service airlines on Pakistan to Saudi Arabia routes usually include 30 to 40 kg of checked baggage, while low-cost fares may include only a 7 kg cabin bag. Your ticket shows the exact allowance, and we confirm it before you pay.
Returning Umrah pilgrims are often allowed one 5-litre bottle of Zamzam water, which must be bought at the airport in Saudi Arabia in the airline's approved packaging. Airlines do not accept Zamzam packed inside suitcases. Rules change by airline and season, so ask us before your return flight.
Documents you need before flying
Most problems at Pakistani airports come from missing paperwork, not from the ticket. Check these before your travel date:
- A passport valid for at least six months from your travel date.
- The right visa for your trip: Umrah, visit, tourist, work or residence.
- A Protector stamp for travellers going abroad on a work visa.
- Hotel booking and return ticket for visit visas to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
- Any health or vaccination requirements announced by the destination country.
If you are not sure which visa you need, our visa processing team can guide you and handle the file.
Travelling for Umrah? Flight, visa, hotel and transport are easier to manage as one booking. See our Umrah packages, or ask for a flight-only quote if you already have the rest arranged.
Ihram and Miqat on flights to Jeddah
Pilgrims flying from Pakistan to Jeddah for Umrah cross the Miqat in the air, before the aircraft lands. This means you should be in Ihram before you reach the Miqat. Many travellers change into Ihram at home or at the airport in Pakistan and make the niyyah when the cabin crew announce that the aircraft is approaching the Miqat.
If you fly into Madinah first, you do not need Ihram on the flight. You will enter Ihram later at Dhul Hulayfah (Masjid Miqat) in Madinah on your way to Makkah. Ask your scholar if you are unsure, and tell our team your plan so we can book the right airport.
Airport tips for Pakistani travellers
International check-in at Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi can be slow in peak season, especially on Saudi and UAE flights with many families and pilgrims. A few simple steps make departure day calmer:
- Reach the airport at least three to four hours before an international departure.
- Keep your passport, visa copy, ticket, hotel booking and CNIC together in one folder.
- Weigh your bags at home. Extra weight at the counter costs much more than prepaid baggage.
- Label every bag with your name, phone number and hotel name in Saudi Arabia or the UAE.
- Carry medicines in your hand baggage with a copy of the prescription.
Umrah groups, families and bulk seats
We regularly book groups travelling together from Sahiwal, Lahore, Multan and Faisalabad to Jeddah and Madinah. Group bookings let you hold seats on the same flight, fix a price for a set period and add names later, which suits mosque committees, family gatherings and travel partners. Tell us the number of seats, the preferred month and the departure city, and we will return with available group blocks.

Frequently asked questions
Which Pakistani city has the most flights to Jeddah?
Karachi and Lahore have the most weekly flights to Jeddah, followed by Islamabad. Multan, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Peshawar and Quetta have fewer direct services, and one-stop connections are common from those cities.
How long is the flight from Islamabad to Dubai?
A nonstop flight from Islamabad to Dubai takes about 3 hours. One-stop itineraries take longer depending on the connection.
Is it better to fly to Jeddah or Madinah for Umrah?
Both work. Flying into Jeddah puts you closest to Makkah, while flying into Madinah lets you start with your stay at Masjid an-Nabawi. Many pilgrims book Madinah in and Jeddah out to avoid backtracking.
How far in advance should I book flights to Saudi Arabia?
For normal dates, four to eight weeks ahead usually gives good fares. For Ramadan, Eid and school holidays, book two to three months ahead because seats sell out.
Can I book my flight on WhatsApp?
Yes. Send your departure city, destination, dates and number of passengers to 0300 9693936. Our team replies with available fares and completes the booking once you confirm.
Do you book one-way tickets from Pakistan?
Yes. We book one-way, return and multi-city tickets, including open-jaw Umrah tickets that fly into Madinah and return from Jeddah.
