Rooms booked, not just requested

There is a big difference between a hotel room that is requested and one that is booked. A request means someone has asked the hotel and is waiting for an answer. A booking means the room is held in your name, with a confirmation number, dates and room type fixed in writing. At Expert Aviation we only hand you the second kind.

Many travellers from Pakistan have arrived at a hotel abroad to hear that "the booking was not received", or found a smaller room than they paid for. That usually happens when a room was only requested, or when someone sold a room they did not yet hold. We work the other way round: we confirm the room first, then we tell you the full price and ask for payment.

Once your payment is received, your confirmation voucher is in your hand the same day — on WhatsApp, by email or printed at our Sahiwal office. The rule is the same whether you are booking a budget room in Dubai or five-star nights in Makkah.

What your hotel voucher shows

Your hotel voucher is the proof of your booking abroad. Show it at reception, keep a copy on your phone and share it with everyone travelling with you. It is also the document visa officers and airline staff may ask to see. Every voucher we issue includes:

  • Confirmation numberThe reference the hotel uses to find your booking at check-in.
  • Guest namesWritten exactly as in the passport of each traveller.
  • Check-in and check-out datesWith the number of nights, so there is no confusion at the desk.
  • Room type and beddingDouble, twin, triple, quad or family room, as agreed with you.
  • Meal planRoom only, breakfast, half board or full board.
  • Cancellation termsWhether the booking is refundable, and until which date.

Want to check it yourself? You are welcome to email or call the hotel with the confirmation number before you fly. We encourage it — a booking you can verify is a booking you can trust.

Hotels in Makkah

In Makkah the first question is always distance from Masjid al-Haram. The hotels in the clock tower complex and the Jabal Omar area are the closest and cost the most, especially in Ramadan. Areas such as Ajyad and Misfalah offer good value within walking distance, while budget hotels in Aziziyah and similar areas usually run shuttles to the Haram.

For families and elders we also check the details a map does not show: lifts at prayer times, extra beds for children, and whether the walking route has slopes or stairs. Travelling for Umrah? Our family Umrah guide explains hotel distance and room sharing in more detail.

Hotels in Madinah

Madinah is calmer than Makkah, and most visitors want to stay in the central area around Masjid an-Nabawi. Because the mosque is very large, we check which gate your hotel is nearest to, especially for women's prayer areas and wheelchair access. Hotels a little further out are cheaper and still walkable for healthy adults.

Most travellers book Madinah and Makkah together, with transport between the two cities. We can issue both vouchers at once, so your whole stay in Saudi Arabia is confirmed before you leave Pakistan. We also book hotels in Jeddah and Riyadh for business trips and family visits.

Hotels in Dubai and the UAE

Dubai has hotels for every budget, from simple rooms in Deira and Bur Dubai to five-star resorts on the beach. For families watching the budget, a hotel close to a Metro station saves a lot on taxis. For business trips, we choose hotels near your meeting area to cut time in traffic. Families who want space often prefer hotel apartments with a small kitchen.

Dubai hotels usually charge a small Tourism Dirham fee per room per night, paid at the hotel. We tell you about it in advance so it is not a surprise at checkout. We also book hotels in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi, and can combine your stay with a UAE visit visa and flights from Pakistan.

Hotels in Istanbul and Turkey

Turkey is one of the most popular holiday destinations for Pakistani families and honeymoon couples. In Istanbul, Sultanahmet puts you within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. Taksim and the areas around it suit travellers who want shopping, restaurants and nightlife close by, while hotels along the Bosphorus offer the best views.

Many trips combine Istanbul with Cappadocia, Bursa or Antalya. We book each city's hotel on one itinerary so the dates line up, and we tell you which hotels offer airport transfers.

More international destinations we book

Beyond Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Turkey, we book confirmed hotels in the destinations Pakistani travellers visit most:

  • Baku, AzerbaijanOld City and boulevard hotels for short family breaks.
  • Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaBukit Bintang and KLCC stays near shopping and the Metro.
  • Bangkok, ThailandSukhumvit and riverside hotels for holidays and business.
  • Doha, QatarCity and West Bay hotels for visits and transit stays.
  • London, UKCentral and airport-side hotels for students, visits and business.
  • EuropeParis, Rome, Barcelona and more for Schengen trips.

Do not see your city here? Send it to us on WhatsApp — if a hotel takes international bookings, we can usually book it.

Hotel bookings for visa applications

Many embassies ask for proof of accommodation with a visit or tourist visa application, including for the UK and Schengen countries. A confirmed hotel booking with your name, dates and a confirmation number supports your file far better than a screenshot from a website.

For visa files we usually recommend refundable bookings, so you are not out of pocket if the visa is delayed or refused. Make sure the dates on the hotel voucher match your flight booking and your travel plan exactly. Our visa team checks the hotel, flights and documents together before the file is submitted.

Choosing the right room and meal plan

The right room type saves money and keeps everyone comfortable. Here is what the common terms on your voucher mean:

TermWhat it meansGood for
Double / TwinOne large bed, or two single bedsCouples, two friends or colleagues
TripleThree beds, or a double bed with an extra bedSmall families, three pilgrims
Quad / QuintFour or five beds in one roomFamilies and Umrah groups on a budget
Family room / SuiteLarger room or connected roomsFamilies with children and elders
Hotel apartmentRooms with a small kitchen and loungeLonger stays and large families
RO — Room onlyNo meals includedCity stays with food nearby
BB — Bed & breakfastBreakfast includedMost trips
HB / FBHalf board or full boardResorts and Umrah groups

Tell us how many adults and children are travelling, and we will suggest the room combination that costs the least without squeezing anyone in.

From budget stays to five-star nights

A higher star rating does not always mean a better trip. What matters is what you need from the room.

Budget hotels

Clean, simple rooms for travellers who spend most of the day outside. Good for young groups, short stays and pilgrims who are happy with a shuttle.

Mid-range hotels

Better locations, more space and reliable services such as lifts, air-conditioning and breakfast. The best value for most families.

Four and five-star hotels

Prime locations, larger rooms and full services. Worth it for elders, honeymoons, business travel and peak seasons such as Ramadan in Makkah.

Whichever level you choose, we quote the full price — room rate, taxes and our service charge — in one figure in Pakistani rupees or the currency you prefer. What you agree to is what you pay.

Seasons, prices and cancellation

Hotel prices abroad change with demand. Expect the highest rates in Makkah and Madinah during Ramadan and around Hajj, in Dubai during the winter months and major events, and in Turkey and Europe during the summer holidays. Booking early gives you the best choice of rooms and prices.

Before you pay, we explain whether your booking is refundable (free cancellation until a set date) or non-refundable (cheaper, but no money back if you cancel). If your visa or travel dates are not final yet, a refundable rate is usually worth the small extra cost.

Check-in tips for hotels abroad

  • Carry your original passport. Hotels abroad record guest details at check-in and may take a copy of your passport and visa.
  • Some hotels ask for a card or cash security deposit at check-in, which is returned at checkout. Ask us in advance so you carry enough.
  • Some cities, including Dubai and many European cities, charge a local tourism or city tax that is paid at the hotel.
  • Standard check-in is usually in the afternoon and check-out around midday. If your flight lands early in the morning, ask us about early check-in or booking the previous night.
  • Keep the voucher on your phone and a printed copy, in case your roaming or internet does not work on arrival.
  • Check the room before unpacking, and message us at once if it does not match your voucher.
